Maybe I am doing something very wrong here at The Road not Taken Enough. Or very right. Either way, I think they missed their target audience.
And let’s talk about redundancy.
I took this photo as a screenshot of my email today… Maybe I should register them for my website?
I’m totally gonna do that.
That would create nostalgic awesomeness, for sure.
p.s., they are not writing the stories behind my photos
p.p.s., and gods help whoever gets the personal legacy of the real me.
I mean, seriously.
Awww, gawwwd. Insert cynical laughter here. Thanks for sharing this frightening idea!
Tamara,
I certainly admire your blogging and writing discipline. And I share your nausea when it comes to FB writing my life story, or any part of it.
But to be honest, my 3 FB pages are an archive for part of my life story… in other words, without a blog… I am not sure I am that dedicated to writing everyday… more when the spirit moves me. So my poems, thoughts, life images are archived there… especially The Dalles Mountain Prairie Restoration and Bob’s Corvallis backyard prairie landscaping… And I wonder how it will all evolve. For example, some of my friends are dead, but there thoughts and posts are still “alive” on FB. It is a weird feeling getting birthday notices for friends “passed”.
So my thoughts are mixed/evolving…
Thank you for being such a positive role model.
Bob
Thank you, I have rarely been called a role model – let alone a positive one. This photo was not from FaceBook – it is a company that takes your photos and then writes stories about your life based on the photo and what you tell them about it. It is outsourcing your life story, rather than recording your life story via FB.
