   Enduring adobe Puebloan abodes? Beautiful and still good shelter. I imagine housekeeping involved scouting for spiders and snakes daily, as it would today. Soft colors in any light.

   I just noticed the contrast of the fog-softened hills. It snowed a good 3 inches here today and I thought for a moment that was snow on those hills.

     Snow on the hills and in the air. Snow squalls moved through regularly—gorgeous country and, with cliffs facing south, the perfect front porch.
